Workshops/Awareness

  • Hartek Foundation is dedicatedly working to empower communities by raising awareness about crucial issues such as child protection. As part of this commitment, we conducted an important awareness session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Government Senior Secondary School in Bakarpur, Mohali. The session reached 370 girls from classes 9 to 12, equipping them with the knowledge to recognize and prevent child sexual abuse. Through this initiative, we aim to foster awareness, vigilance, and a safer environment for girls
  • on the occasion of International Women’s Day, a Health and Financial Awareness camp was organized for women in the village of Bakarpur. The event, aimed at empowering women with vital knowledge, was led by LDM Mr. M.K. Bhardwaj from Punjab National Bank. He shared valuable insights about various government schemes that have significantly benefited women and girls. The session highlighted key opportunities and resources available to improve their health, financial well-being, and overall quality of life, fostering a sense of empowerment and encouraging women to make informed decisions about their future.

Supporting Women led SHG

  • Hartek Foundation’s initiatives in vocational training, entrepreneurship development, and support for women’s self-help groups (SHGs) play a crucial role in empowering women within local communities. By equipping women with the skills necessary for better employment opportunities, we enable them to become financially independent and improve their quality of life. SHGs serve as a platform for women to come together, share resources, and support one another in their entrepreneurial ventures, fostering both social and economic empowerment.
  • We are actively collaborating with the Punjab State Rural Livelihood Mission (PSRLM) to establish skill and training centers for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with the goal of empowering women and ensuring their financial stability. As part of this initiative, sewing machines will be provided to SHGs, along with business opportunities supported by PSRLM, to help women achieve financial independence. This partnership aims to equip village women with valuable skills, enabling them to contribute economically and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
