Waste Management
- On World Environment Day , Hartek Foundation focused on cleaning the dumping sites in Bakarpur village to prevent the spread of diseases and promote a cleaner environment. Volunteers from the community, along with Hartek Foundation staff, participated in the cleanup drive, removing harmful waste and promoting awareness about proper waste disposal. The initiative aimed to reduce environmental pollution, safeguard public health, and encourage sustainable practices. Hartek Foundation remains committed to creating cleaner, healthier communities through regular environmental efforts and collaboration with local residents.
- As part of our ongoing Smart Village Project, Hartek Foundation has successfully installed dustbins across the entire village of Bakarpur and Raipur. This initiative aims to promote proper waste disposal, reduce littering, and enhance the cleanliness of the village. By providing easily accessible waste disposal options, the foundation encourages residents to maintain a cleaner environment and adopt sustainable waste management practices. This step is part of Hartek Foundation’s broader vision to improve community living standards and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future for rural areas.
Tree Plantation
Hartek Foundation, in collaboration with MNREGA and the Forest Department, has been actively involved in tree plantation drives across various villages in District Mohali. In a dedicated effort to enhance the green cover and promote environmental sustainability, large-scale tree plantation activities have been carried out in partnership with Block Vikas Panchayat (MNREGA) Mohali. The initiative aims to contribute to global efforts against climate change by increasing tree density and improving local ecosystems. Hartek Foundation continues to work closely with local communities and government bodies to carry out regular plantation activities, supporting a greener, healthier future.
Clean Water access
- In support of SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Hartek Foundation has focused on ensuring clean water access for educational institutions. We installed water tanks at the Government School in Bakarpur, providing students and staff with a reliable source of clean water. This initiative contributes to a healthier learning environment and emphasizes the importance of sustainable water practices in rural development.
- As part of our Rural Transformation and Smart Village initiatives, we are closely collaborating with village panchayats to clean water ponds and prevent the spread of communicable diseases. This effort supports the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6, which focuses on clean water and sanitation, as well as SDG 3, promoting good health and well-being. Through these initiatives, we aim to create healthier, safer environments for rural communities.
